To design and structure a fundraising and financial strategy that would build a defensible valuation and funding roadmap, while preparing her for investor conversations with a clear ask and equity structure, along with ensuring launch readiness through a practical plan covering costs and key KPIs.

  • Constructed a driver-based revenue model from seats, table turns, average bill and operating days, with a conservative ramp applied for the opening months.
  • Layered location-specific seasonality and weekday/weekend booking patterns into the demand profile to reflect expected local behaviour.
  • Included quick sensitivity checks for utilisation and average bill so stakeholders can see top-line impact from modest variances.
  • Validated assumptions against comparable concepts and the founder’s operational inputs to ensure plausibility.

Cost, CapEx & Funding Structuring

  • Sized a minimum operating buffer to protect opening-period cashflow from seasonality and investor confidence.
  • Identified early cost levers like supplier terms, menu engineering and staffing mix, and used these with DCF and benchmarks to build a defensible valuation.
  • Produced a practical pre-launch checklist covering licences, suppliers, core hires and a soft-launch plan to calculate cost structure and ensure readiness
  • Outlined a clear funding ask, and planned use of funds across capital and operational expenses.

Investor Narrative & Launch Readiness

  • Translated the financial model into a compelling investor narrative, showcasing EBITDA breakeven in Year 1, PAT breakeven in Year 2 and dividend distribution from Year 2, reinforcing investment recoupability.
  • Outlined exit valuation based on market multiples such as EV/EBITDA and Revenue/EBITDA suggesting an IRR of 15% over a 5 year investment horizon for the potential investors.
